Holiday in a State National Park

Living outside

As a freelancer, I designed an umbrella concept together with Workshop of Wonders for various Dutch National Park buildings that were converted into holiday rentals. Each with its 'own' nature reserve as a backyard. These were, for example, former barns, farms, sheepfolds or forester's houses.

This concept was applied over a period of about ten years, always with a lot of love in every unique building. With attention to the existing characteristics, the 'Outdoor life' feeling (under that name the holiday rentals are known and can be rented), products and materials from Dutch origin and comfort in a surprising way. We also designed most of the furniture.

The holiday rentals have such a high occupancy rate that the Dutch state does not have to advertise them.
